Live-Action Japanese True Beauty Films Preview 2nd Film in Video, Poster
On May 1st, the second movie with a tune performed by actor Keito Tsuna will be released.
The second film in the Japanese live-action adaptation of True Beauty webtoon, After Proposal-hen, has been announced with a poster visual and trailer on Friday. Both Keito Tsuna 's (as Yu Igarashi) insert song "Tokubetsu Nante" and Kucci 's theme song "Tokimeki" (Fluttering) are featured in the video preview.
In Japan, the first movie called "Megami Kōrin Before" was shown before its official release date of March 20th. On May 1st, the second movie titled "Megami Kōrin After" will make its debut.
It was initially reported that the webtoon would be made into a live-action movie. ( link ) In September.

The individuals responsible for directing and writing the script for the films are Kazunari Hoshino and Sumire Suzuki respectively.
The first season of the animated series based on the True Beauty webtoon started streaming on Crunchyroll in September 2024. Crunchyroll describes the series:
Jugyeong, who transformed herself with makeup, transfers to Saebom High School to leave her past of being bullied behind. The school is known for producing idols, actors, and influencers, thanks to its unique tradition of anonymous voting for the school's True Beauty goddess. The chosen student gets scouted by entertainment agencies.
Jugyeong rapidly gains notoriety and is dubbed as a potential deity candidate. She then interacts with Sujin, who was previously recognized as a two-time divine being. Despite Sujin appearing friendly, her true motive is to undermine Jugyeong through deceitful methods and traps.
With a resolve to avoid being a victim once more, Jugyeong approaches Sujin, declaring her intention to become the next goddess. She engages in a heated competition while maintaining a makeup-free appearance. However, events take an unexpected turn when Suho Lee, the school's popular crush, accidentally sees her unmasked face. Additionally, Jugyeong encounters SeoJun Han, who is determined to expose her true identity.
"True Beauty" follows the story of Jugyeong as she navigates her relationships with two individuals. This narrative explores themes of self-discovery, beauty, and intrigue.
