Disgaea Creator Sohei Niikawa Announces New Company SuperNiche
Entertainment company to produce novels, manga, music, music, among other media
On Monday, former Nippon Ichi Software president Sohei Niikawa unveiled his new entertainment company SuperNiche along with its official website.
The site mentions that the organization has two ongoing initiatives: one being the development of the game "Etrange Overlord," which is based on Roman Kitayama's book series of the same name, and another unnamed project.
According to their website, SuperNiche focuses on creating various forms of media such as books, comics, games, music, and videos.
In 2022, Niikawa stepped down as president of Nippon Ichi Software due to personal reasons.
In 1996, Niikawa started working at Nippon Ichi Software. For five years, he was involved in sales and promotions. In 2009, he became the president and CEO of the company. In an interview with ANN in 2012, he talked about his journey within the company. Additionally, he served as president of NIS America. Many people attribute the creation of the Disgaea game series to him.
