Manga has been on hiatus since last year
On Monday, it was announced that Yuji Shiozaki's manga series, Shin Ikki Tousen, will resume in the next issue of Young King Bull magazine on April 21st. After being on hiatus since 2024, this popular manga series is set to return with new content for its fans.
Hakufu Sonsaku is a high school student with a magatama that lets her control Sun Ce's spirit from China's Three Kingdoms period. She battles students from other schools who also have magatamas representing different heroes from that era.
In November 2015, Shiozaki introduced Shin Ikki Tousen in Young King Ours magazine published by Shonen Gahosha. After that, the manga was moved to another magazine. ( link ) In May 2022, a three-episode television anime adaptation of the manga "Young King Bull" was released. Meanwhile, the fifth compiled book volume of "Young King Bull" was published by Shonengahosha in September 2023. Lastly, the manga "Young King Bull" will be released as its fifth compiled book volume in August 2024 by Shonengahosha.
Ikki Tousen is a popular manga that has been adapted into several different forms of media. There are four previous TV anime series based on the original work, as well as five previous OVA releases. The most recent adaptation is Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves, which was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in February 2019. Additionally, the first three episodes of Ikki Tousen: Western Wolves were broadcast on AT-X from January to March 2019.
