The story follows Murata, an office worker, who meets Ruriko, a vendor selling beer who looks like a gyaru . He becomes her first regular customer. Ruriko acts cold toward Murata, but she has an innocent personality that comes out when he is out of sight.
EMT Squared has appointed Jun'ichi Kitamura as the director for their upcoming anime series. Shigeru Murakoshi has been tasked with writing the scripts for this series. Fumio Iida will be responsible for designing the characters in this production. MONACA will be composing the music for this series, which will be titled NieR:Automata Ver 1.1a.
