Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse Anime's 2nd Video Unveils More Cast, July 2 Debut
Kaito Ishikawa, Anna Nagase, Marina Inoue, Chihaya Yoshitake join cast
On Wednesday, the second promotional video for David Production's first original television anime, Onmyō Kaiten Re:verse, was released on its official website. This video included new cast members and announced the anime's July 2 premiere date.
The anime will start airing on Fuji TV's +Ultra time slot on July 3 at midnight.
The new cast members include:
Kaito Ishikawa as Atsunaga
Anna Nagase as Yura
Marina Inoue as Kazura
Chihaya Yoshitake as Shino
Previously announced cast members include:
- Taihi Kimura as Takeru Narehira
- Maaya Uchida as Tsukimiya
- Ryōhei Kimura as Abe no Seimei
In this story, the setting takes place in an alternative version of Kyoto during Japan's Heian era, known as Denji Heian-kyō (The Tranquil Capital of Divine Lightning). Takeru Narehira, a delinquent high school student from our world, gets transported to this new city after an accident. Upon arrival, he meets Tsukimiya, someone he has seen before in his dreams. Shortly after their encounter, Takeru and Tsukimiya come across an oni monster and lose their lives. However, Takeru wakes up again, realizing that he possesses the ability to travel back in time. With this newfound power, he decides to learn mystical techniques from this world's onmyōjutsu sorcerers to become an onmyōji himself and save Tsukimiya.
Fujiko Sakuno and Kyūjō Matsumoto launched ( link ) the anime's manga adaptation in Kodansha 's Morning two magazine on February 6.
David Production is directing the anime "Keijo!!!!!!!!", "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind", and "Urusei Yatsura" under the direction of Hideya Takahashi, who is also credited with the original story concept. Akutō Satō is credited with the original plot concept for the anime series. Hayashi Mori is in charge of the series scripts for "Keijo!!!", "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind", and "Urusei Yatsura". Kazuaki Morita is designing the characters for "Keijo!!!", "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind", and "Urusei Yatsura". Katsuie Shibata is credited with worldbuilding and research for "Keijo!!!", "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind", and "Urusei Yatsura". Kitsuneiro is credited with concept art for "Keijo!!!", "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind", and "Urusei Yatsura". Masahiro Tokuda is composing the music for "Keijo!!!", "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind", and "Urusei Yatsura".
