A dark thriller focuses on a prison that houses dangerous murderers for research purposes.
According to Money Today, which published an article on May 8th, there is currently being produced a live-action series adaptation of the popular webtoon Forest of Humans. It is said that actress Ye-ji Seo is being considered for the main role in this series. On May 8th, her agency Sublime confirmed that she has received a casting offer for this project.
"The TV show 'Forest of Humans' is inspired by a well-known online comic with the same title. It focuses on a prison that houses dangerous criminals for research purposes. However, when the facility experiences issues, it leads to dangerous situations with severe consequences." The show may have a mature rating and is being considered for release on a significant streaming service.
Ye-ji Seo is set to make her comeback in a live-action film after taking a break from major roles since her appearance in Eve on tvN in 2022. However, she has been inactive due to controversies surrounding gaslighting and accusations of abuse of power.
The webtoon "Forest of Humans," which was created by Jun-ho Hwang and inspired the Netflix series "Karma," was serialized on Naver WEBTOON from 2012 to 2013.
