GKIDS to offer screenings in original Japanese, English dubbed versions
On Sunday, GKIDS declared that they would launch the Jujutsu Kaisen : Execution compilation film in North America on December 5th. Both the original Japanese and English dubbed versions of the film will be shown during screenings.
The movie titled "Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution - Shibuya Incident" will consist of the second season's "Shibuya Incident" episode, followed by the first two episodes of the third season prior to its January release date.
The first Jujutsu Kaisen television anime season premiered in October 2020, and it had 24 episodes.
In December 2021, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie was released in Japan with English subtitles available. Meanwhile, it was also made available with English dubbing for viewers in the U.S. and Canada in March 2022.
The second season of the show began on July 6th, 2023 on MBS and TBS along with 28 affiliate stations. Crunchyroll broadcasted it simultaneously in North America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and parts of Asia. An English dub version is also available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
The anime series had a run that lasted for half a year, with two seasons airing consecutively. It covered both arcs from Gege Akutami's manga, "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" ("Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu") and "Shibuya Incident." The "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc was shown from July 6 through August 3, 2023, followed by two compilation episodes on August 10 and 17, 2023. The "Shibuya Incident" arc began on August 31 and consisted of 18 episodes.
In March 2018, Gege Akutami introduced his manga series in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Viz Media is currently publishing both digital and print versions of the manga. Additionally, Shueisha is also making the manga available digitally through its MANGA Plus service.
