Alien doctor Ponstin appeared in episode 8
On Wednesday, it was announced that Natsuki Hanae has joined the cast of Apocalypse Hotel, an original television anime produced by CyberAgent and its Cygames Pictures subsidiary. Hanae will be portraying Ponstin, a serious alien doctor with raccoon-dog features.
Ponstin appeared in episode 8, which aired on Tuesday.
The anime was released in Japan on April 8th and can be viewed online through various platforms such as NTV, ABEMA, Lemino, Animate Times, and Crunchyroll.
Saho Shirasu plays the protagonist Yachiyo, the hotel manager robot of the Ginzarō hotel.
Cygames Pictures is directing the anime adaptation of Saga of Tanya the Evil, Princess Connect! Re:Dive, Luminous Witches under the leadership of Kana Shundo, who is also known as the episode director for these series. Izumi Takemoto, creator of Teke Teke My Heart and Garden Shimai, is responsible for character design in the anime adaptation. Natsuki Yokoyama is in charge of character design in animation. Shigeru Murakoshi is writing the series scripts for these anime adaptations. Yoshiaki Fujisawa is composing the music for these series.
In Tokyo's Ginza district, there exists a lone hotel that serves as the setting for this anime. Society has fallen, humans have vanished, and nature has taken over most of the land. Despite this, Yachiyo, a management robot for the Ginzarō hotel in Ginza, continues to operate alongside other robots. Their primary objective is to maintain the hotel until its owners and guests return.
The anime you are referring to has a related manga called "Apocalypse Hotel Sputtering" or "Pusupusu" which was launched on Takeshobo's Storia Dash website on April 11th. Izumi Takemoto, who was responsible for designing the characters in the original anime, is currently working on this new manga series.
Brave Bang Bravern! is the newest anime series created by Masami Ōbari for Cygames Pictures. It premiered in January 2024. Additionally, Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray is being produced by Cygames Pictures based on Taiyo Kuzumi's manga, which is itself derived from the Uma Musume Pretty Derby franchise by Cygames.
