Series casts Hiroyuki Yoshino as Manjirō, Naomi Ōzora as Chiquitita
On Tuesday, it was announced on the official website that two new actors have been added to the cast for the TV anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu's "paranormal mystery battle & romantic comedy" manga series, DAN DA DAN.

The second season of the TV adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu's DAN DA DAN manga will start on July 3rd on MBS and TBS as part of their "Super Animeism Turbo" block. It will also be available on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll, ADN, Hulu, Muse, Netflix, and others while it is airing.
Science SARU has announced that Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora will be credited as directors for the upcoming season of their show. The cast from the previous season will return, with Mutsumi Tamura portraying Evil Eye (Jashi).
On Friday in North America, GKIDS will showcase the first three episodes of season two of Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye in a theatrical release. This screening was previously shown in Asia, excluding Japan, on May 30 through Muse. In Europe, it will be shown on Saturday from ADN.

In October, the first season of the anime was launched in Japan through Super Animeism TURBO on TBS and MBS. Netflix made it available for global streaming that same month. Additionally, Crunchyroll also streamed it. There were a total of 12 episodes in this season.
Fūga Yamashiro ( Tatami Time Machine Blues assistant director) directed the anime at Science SARU , and Hiroshi Seko ( Attack on Titan The Final Season , Chainsaw Man , Jujutsu Kaisen , Mob Psycho 100 ) supervised and wrote the series scripts. Composer kensuke ushio ( Chainsaw Man , DEVILMAN crybaby , Liz and the Blue Bird ) scored the music. Naoyuki Onda ( Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway , Berserk: The Golden Age Arc ) designed the characters, and Yoshimichi Kameda ( Mob Psycho 100 ) designed the aliens and supernatural entities. Hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts performed the opening theme song "Otokone," and ZUTOMAYO performed the ending theme song "TAIDADA."

This is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.
In order to demonstrate their beliefs to one another, Momo visits an abandoned hospital where there have been reports of a UFO sighting, while Okarun explores a tunnel that is said to be haunted.
