In July 2020, Matsumoto started the manga series on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform. As of March 4th, they have released the 15th volume of the compiled books.
Viz Media has made available both digital and physical versions of Monster #8, which is also published by Shueisha on its MANGA Plus service with the same title.

In 2024, a TV anime adaptation of a manga was released on TV Tokyo and consisted of 12 episodes. Crunchyroll provided English subtitles for the anime and also made available an English dub. Additionally, the anime was streamed worldwide simultaneously with its Japanese airing on X (formerly Twitter).
The anime's second season will debut in July 2025. Crunchyroll will stream the new season.
On April 13, 14, and 16 in theaters across the United States and Canada, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment presented a compilation film of the first season of Kaiju No. 8 anime called "Mission Recon." Both Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English were available for viewers.
The game version of the popular franchise "Kaiju No. 8" will soon be available for download on iOS, Android, PC via Steam, as well as on the App Store with a release date of August 31st.
