In the anime, "Kekka Orai" is sung by Kocchi no Kento as its opening theme song. Meanwhile, yutori is a four-member rock band that sings "Speed" as its ending theme song.
: Vigilantes is a prequel to the popular My Hero Academia manga series by Kohei Horikoshi. It tells the story of a group of high school students who become vigilantes in the world of U.A., before the events of the main series begin.
Koichi Haimawari couldn't make the cut to become an official hero, so he uses his modest Quirk to do good deeds in his spare time. Then one day a fateful encounter with some local thugs leads him to team up with two other unlikely heroes. None of them really know what they're doing, but they've got the courage—or foolishness—to try. But they soon discover fighting evil takes more than just being brave…
In August 2016, Furuhashi and Court introduced their manga series in Shueisha's Shonen Jump GIGA magazine. Following this, they relaunched it on Shonen Jump+ in December 2016. Viz Media began publishing the series digitally in English in August 2017, while also releasing it in print. Additionally, Shueisha's MANGA Plus service made the series available digitally in English. The series concluded in May 2022 and had a total of 15 compiled book volumes.
