Pokémon Franchise Streams 2 Summer Anime Shorts
Boy, researcher embark on adventures with Morpeko, Chimchar
The Pokemon series started broadcasting its first episode titled "Morpeko" to "Hajime no Otekake" (The First Outing With Morpeko), which is one of two shorts in the "Pokemon to Kakeru Natsu Monogatari" (Summer Stories of Running With Pokemon) series aimed at kids and their families during summer vacation on Fridays. These shorts show two individuals going on their own adventures with Pokemon and discovering new things along the way.
The initial video features a young man named Shōta who journeys to the festival area where he is scheduled to meet Bisharp, his idolized hero. Subsequently, on July 11th, viewers will be able to watch "Hikozaru to Shinmai Pokémon Kenkyuin" (Chimchar and the Newbie Pokémon Researcher). This video is followed by a 2D short that portrays Ryō, a researcher who comes across peculiar Pokémon while conducting fieldwork.
In the two brief films, Kei Shindō plays the character of Shōta while Hiiro Ishibashi portrays Ryō. Additionally, Ikue Ōtani, Kana Hanazawa, Megumi Hayashibara, Etsuko Kozakura, Rikako Aikawa, Kenta Miyake, Tsuguo Mogami, and Tatsuki Kobe are also present in these shorts.
