Film centers on Tempest officials vacationing at Elmesia's resort island
The movie version of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) franchise has released its second film titled "Tears of the Blue Sea Arc". On Tuesday, they shared a new teaser trailer and visual which includes information about the film's unique plot that is not based on any story from earlier novels or manga series. Additionally, they announced that it will be released on February 27th.
After the establishment of the Tempest Federation, Elmesia, leader of Sarion's elf nation, invites Rimuru and other high-ranking officials for a relaxing getaway at a resort island in Sarion. During their brief stay, they encounter Yura, a mysterious girl, and a looming danger that requires Rimuru to face a new threat.
The film will have returning cast members from the television anime.
The anime series had its third season premiere on April 1st, 2024. Its 48th episode was released one week before the start of the season on March 1st. The show ran for two consecutive quarters during its half-year run. The final episode of the season was its 24th overall and was released on September 27th.
Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired and is also streaming an English dub .
Atsushi Nakayama is back as director for the series at 8-Bit Studios. Toshizo Nemoto is in charge of overseeing the scripts for the show. Ryōma Ebata is back as character designer for this project. Hitoshi Fujima, who previously worked on That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Visions of Coleus as composer, is returning for this show as well.
In October 2018, the initial TV anime adaptation of Taiki Kawakami's manga series, which was based on Fuse and Mitz Vah's light novel series, was launched. Crunchyroll provided streaming services for the anime, while FUNimation Entertainment offered an English dub version.
In November 2023, the anime series "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" featuring Coleus debuted in Japan with all three episodes simultaneously. Crunchyroll is currently streaming this anime with both subtitles and an English dub available for viewers.
