HIDIVE to Stream Dusk Beyond the End of the World Anime in Fall
P.A. Works' original TV anime Towa no Yugure debuts in October
On August 24 at 3:30 p.m. EDT at Anime NYC event at Javits Center, HIDIVE will reveal the world premiere of Dusk Beyond the End of the World ( Towa no Yugure ), its new original television anime series for fall 2025 season. An English-subtitled trailer is available for viewing.
The anime will debut on MBS and TBS ' "Super Animeism Turbo" programming block in October.
In this narrative, we follow the tale of Akira, a young man from high school who undergoes cryogenic preservation and wakes up two centuries later in a world devastated by conflict. OWEL is now the ruling body, and in place of marriage is a new system called "Elsie" or "LC." Upon his awakening, Akira encounters an android named Yugure, who closely resembles his former girlfriend Towasa. Yugure promptly proposes marriage to a bewildered Akira. Feeling compelled to search for Towasa in this new world, Akira agrees to embark on a journey with Yugure.
The anime stars (character last name romanizations are not official):
- Shūichirō Umeda as Akira Himegami
- Yui Ishikawa as Yugure
- Ai Kayano as Towasa Ōmaki
Project FT is responsible for the creation of the anime. Naokatsu Tsuda, who has worked on JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, planetarian, and The Darwin Incident, is directing the anime at P.A. Works and overseeing its scripts. Midori Tayama, known for creating Girl Crush, designed the original characters. Yoshiko Saitō, who has worked on Kubo Won't Let Me Be Invisible and Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation II, adapted those designs into animation. Masahiro Tokuda, who has composed music for Ishura and Platinum End, is responsible for the music in this anime.
