A Star Brighter Than the Sun Anime Reveals More Cast, October 2 Debut in 1st Promo Video
Motohiro Hata performs opening theme; Hina Yomiya, Taito Ban, more join cast
On Friday, the official site for the anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara's manga series "A Star Brighter Than the Sun" started streaming its first promotional video. Additionally, the site unveiled new visuals, the opening theme song artist, additional cast members, and announced that the show will premiere on October 2nd.
In the video, you can hear Motohiro Hata singing the opening theme song titled "Stellar Days".
Newly revealed cast members include:
Hina Yomiya as Hisui Onodera
Taito Ban as Yōta Ayukawa
Mutsumi Tamura as Mio Kagawa
Ryōta Ōsaka as Yūshin Izawa
On TBS and its affiliates, the anime will start airing on October 2nd at 11:56 pm. Its world debut took place at Anime Expo in July.
The anime will star Minori Fujidera as Sae Iwata and Yūki Ono as Kōki Kamishiro.
Aya Kobayashi ( Vinland Saga , Spy×Family , Negative Positive Angler 2nd key animator) is directing the series at Studio KAI . Yasuhiro Nakanishi ( Chained Soldier , Kaguya-sama: Love is War , Shy ) is in charge of the series scripts, Jin Feng Zeng is designing the characters, and Natsumi Tabuchi ( Aggretsuko , From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated! ) and Miki Sakurai ( Girlfriend, Girlfriend , I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss ) are composing the music.
Viz Media released the manga's first volume in English on March 4. The company describes ( link ) the first volume:

In June of this year, Shueisha introduced Kawahara's manga series in their Bessatsu Margaret magazine. On April 24th, they released the manga's 11th compiled volume.
