Game launches on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PC
On Tuesday, Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new video showcasing the combat system in Brownies' Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, which is a "2D isometric roguelite" game.
Set in distant lands, the tranquil Shinju village is threatened by the evil Magatsu's quest for domination. Towa, the priestess of Shinju Village, stands united with eight unique, trustworthy companions to defeat Magatsu and his evil minions.
In Shinju Village, players embark on quests with two chosen Guardians. Each has distinct abilities that can be improved both within dungeons and through progression in the village hub. While their skills are unique, players can also craft materials to enhance their swords and create distinct combat styles with their chosen pair. As the Guardians journey through different timelines, Shinju Village evolves over time. Through interactions with residents, players develop bonds and learn about their customs and histories, which are intricately woven into the village's fabric. To restore peace to the land, players must work together, conquer dungeons, and defeat Magatsu's minions with their chosen pair of Guardians.
