Tougen Anki Anime Reveals July 11 Premiere, Theatrical Screening, Ending Song Artist
BAND-MAID performs anime's ending theme song "What is justice?"
On July 11th in Japan, Tougen Anki: Dark Demon of Paradise will have its TV premiere. Additionally, there will be a theatrical release featuring the first three episodes. BAND-MAID has been chosen to perform the ending theme song titled "What is justice?" for this anime.
On June 21 at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo, there will be a special showing of the anime's initial three episodes as part of an advanced screening.
Previously announced cast members include:

- Kōtarō Nishiyama as Jin Kougasaki
- Manaka Iwami as Homare Byobugaura
- Shōgo Sakata as Ikari Yaoroshi
- Natsuki Hanae as Juji Yusurube
- Kaito Miura as Rokuro Kiriyama
- Aimi as Kuina Sazanami
At Studio Hibari, Ato Nonaka is in charge of directing the anime. Hiroyuki Hashimoto serves as the assistant director. Yukie Sugawara, known for her work on The Idolm@ster SideM, No Guns Life, and The Unwanted Undead Adventurer, is writing and supervising the scripts. Ryoko Amisaki, who has previously worked on Kino's Journey - The Beautiful World, is designing the characters. Hiroyuki Becchaku handles the art design, while Scott MacDonald directs the art. Saki Tada is responsible for color keying, Naoki Serizawa oversees compositing as the director of photography, Ryota Fukushima leads CG direction, Yumika Okazaki edits, Satoki Iida manages sound direction, and Kohta Yamamoto composes the music. Pony Canyon produces the music for this project.

"You inherit the blood of an Oni (demon)..."
For many years, the descendants of "Oni" and "Momotaro" have remained among humans. Initially, Oni kept their intensity in check by living in isolation. However, their tranquility was disrupted by Momotaro's attack, which led to the formation of two rival groups known as the Momotaro Agency and the Oni Agency. These two organizations have been at odds ever since.
Shiki Ichinose discovers he is related to Momotaro after being attacked by him. This realization leads him on a journey to uncover his bloodline's destiny, which involves encountering the Oni residing within him.

In June 2020, Akita Publishing released the manga in its Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine. The 23rd compiled book volume was released on April 8. Yen Press started publishing the manga in English in September 2024 and will release its third volume on May 27.
The manga previously inspired ( link ) In February 2024, a stage play was performed in both Tokyo and Osaka. Then, in January 2025, another stage play was staged as a sequel.
