Azuki Releases Kodansha's Young Magazine U.S. Special Issue
Special issue magazine available on Azuki for free until December 31
On Friday and Sunday, Azuki revealed that they will provide the English version of Kodansha 's Weekly Young Magazine for free until December 31 for all users. Although the digital edition won't be accessible after December 31, it will remain in users' Azuki library if they add it.
This special edition celebrates our magazine's 45th year in existence. It contains 18 new manga series from Japanese artists, including the first chapter of Kengo Hanazawa 's Under Ninja manga and Shūichi Shigeno 's (Initial D, MF Ghost) new manga Subaru and Subaru. Additionally, this edition features a cover illustration by Masamune Shirow, the creator of Ghost in the Shell.
Kodansha has revealed that they will be selecting five popular manga stories from a special edition magazine to be serialized on their K MANGA app. Readers have until November 10th to cast their votes for their preferred stories.

According to Kodansha, the magazine aims to present unadulterated manga for adults that depict real people facing extraordinary circumstances. It will also expose western readers to the seinen genre by showcasing its unique style and themes.
The special edition of the magazine was given out for free during Anime NYC from August 21st to August 24th. Additionally, it is currently being sold at select Kinokuniya stores from August 21st until November 10th. You can also access the titles online on the magazine's official website. ( link ) On August 21st, GlobalComix made available for free a special issue of the comic book that was released that day.
In October 2024, Kodansha announced a special edition of their Weekly Young Magazine under the title "Young Magazine USA".
The initial edition of Weekly Young Magazine was released on June 16th, 1980. This publication features serialized manga series such as Initial D, MF Ghost, Ghost in the Shell, My Home Hero, Under Ninja, Ya Boy Kongming!, and xxxHOLiC.
