On Friday, the team behind the live-action movie adaptation of Jun Mayuzuki's manga series, "Kowloon Generic Romance," shared a video clip from the film on social media. In the clip, Reiko and Kudō are seen having a work conversation that gradually deepens when Reiko inquires about Kudō's feelings towards her, causing him to look at her with a newfound understanding.

In the live-action film, Reiko Kujirai is played by Riho Yoshikawa, who is blind, and Hajime Kudō is portrayed by Kōshi Mizukami, known for his role as Nina in My Love. Other actors involved in the project are also mentioned.

In November 2019, Mayuzuki started publishing their manga in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine. On April 17, Shueisha released the 11th volume of the compiled book series. On October 28, Yen Press will release the 10th volume of the series.
The anime version of the manga started airing on April 5th in Japan. It was also simultaneously streamed on Crunchyroll with both Japanese and English audio options available.
Mayuzuki's previous manga was After the Rain , which launched in Shogakukan 's Monthly Big Comic Spirits magazine in 2014 and transferred to Weekly Big Comic Spirits in early 2016, where it serialized a new chapter every other week until it ended in ( link ) In April 2018, Shogakukan released the final volume of the manga. Vertical then licensed it and put out all volumes in five omnibus editions.
In January 2018, the 12-episode TV adaptation of the After the Rain manga was introduced on Fuji TV's Noitamina block. It was accessible exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in both Japan and other countries. Additionally, a live-action film based on the manga was released in Japan in May 2018.
