Papenbrook voices Kinta Sakata in anime's English dub
At Anime NYC on Saturday, it was revealed by GKIDS that Bryce Papenbrook will voice Kinta Sakata in the English dub of the DAN DA DAN anime. Additionally, they shared a trailer showcasing the character on their streaming platform.
Daichi Fujiwara voices the character in the original Japanese dub .

Image via DAN DA DAN anime's website The second season of "Super Animeism Turbo" premiered on TV on July 3rd and is shown during the "Super Animeism Turbo" block on MBS and TBS. Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu are also streaming it as it is being broadcast.
At Science SARU, the first season was directed by both Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora. They are also credited as directors for the new season. The returning cast includes Mutsumi Tamura playing Evil Eye (Jashi).
Aina The End sings the introductory tune "Kakumei Dōchū" (On the Way), while WurtS provides the concluding track "Doukashiteru" (Something's Wrong with Them).
On June 6th in North America, GKIDS started showing the first three episodes of DAN DA DAN : EVIL EYE at cinemas. There were 1,085 theatres that screened this film and it made an estimated US$3,096,000 in its first weekend. In Asia, outside of Japan, Muse screened the film on May 30th. In Europe, it was shown on June 7th by ADN .
In October 2024, the first season of anime was introduced in Japan through Super Animeism TURBO on TBS and MBS. Simultaneously, it was made available globally through Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu. This season consisted of 12 episodes.
This is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.
In order to demonstrate their beliefs, Momo visits an abandoned hospital with a reported UFO sighting while Okarun explores a rumored haunted tunnel. Despite their initial shock at encountering intense paranormal occurrences that surpass understanding, both of them discover new abilities. As fate would have it, their romantic relationship also blossoms during these trying times!

Tatsu produces the manga for Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform. Viz Media releases the manga in English. Both Viz Media and Shueisha's MANGA Plus service offer English digital versions of the manga.
