Series based on Yoroida's fantasy comedy manga debuts on September 30
On Tuesday, the team behind the live-action adaptation of Yoroida 's manga series "Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf" (also known as "The Elves Living in Kanagawa") unveiled the show's key visual and introduced its narrator, actor and musician Ray Fujita.
The live-action series will star (from top left to bottom right in image above):
- Sion Yoshitaka as Elf from Yokohama
- Ryōtarō Akazawa as Human from Kawasaki
- Teruhisa Takura (THE SUPER FRUIT member) as Elf from Yokosuka
- Junya Asada as Elf from Chigasaki
- Rion Hatakeyama as Elf from Sagamihara
- Ryūga Akahane as Orc from Machida
On September 30th, TV Kanagawa will introduce their new local midday news and variety program Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide. Fujita, who has been hosting Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide since April 2016 until March 2020 as its narrator, is also part of this live-action series.
Oolongta Yoshida is directing and writing the scripts for the live-action series.
The narrative revolves around elven characters who, after their forest dwelling was destroyed, now reside in Kanagawa and experience everyday life.
Yoroida launched ( link ) In August 2020, Comic Elmo released its first manga series. In 2021, Micro Magazine released its first compiled book volume of the series. On March 10th, they released their fifth volume.
The manga is also inspiring a television light anime in December.
