Game to launch for Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam/Windows on October 30
On Friday, Square Enix released a seven-minute video showcasing the gameplay of their HD remakes of Dragon Quest I and II in English.
On October 30th, the game collection will be released for various platforms including
Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Windows.
The game is available for pre-order, and a limited collector's edition is available (
link ) The collector's edition of the game is only available for purchase through the
Square Enix online store. In addition to the physical copy of the game, it comes with several bonuses such as acrylic blocks featuring characters and monsters, an Outstanding Outfit kit, two digital wallpapers, and another pre-order bonus.
On November 14th, the HD-2D version of Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation was released on Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam and Windows.
The HD-2D art style is similar to
Square Enix's Octopath Traveler game in that it combines elements of sprite-based art with 3D backgrounds, dynamic lighting, and effects.

Square Enix have ported the first three games in the series to multiple platforms, including the Super Famicom, Game Boy Color, Wii, and smartphones. The first three Dragon Quest games launched on
Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4 in Japan in August 2017, and got releases on Switch in September 2019 worldwide.
