Uno, Tsuchiya to launch VALD Offline manga on October 10
On Friday, it was revealed that writer Bokuto Uno (Alderamin on the Sky, Reign of the Seven Spellblades) and artist Kiyoteru Tsuchiya will launch their new science-fiction manga VALD Offline in the next issue of Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine, which will be released on October 10th. Additionally, Uno shared this news on X (formerly Twitter).
"VALD ONLINE" is a VR shooting game that invites advanced players to participate in a battlefield competition. The main character is Hitoyoshi Utsugi, a friendly middle school student who receives this invitation.
Alderamin on the Sky is a light novel series consisting of fourteen volumes that inspired a television anime adaptation in 2016.
Crunchyroll streamed the series as it was released, while
Funimation provided the English dub for viewers.
In 2023, the anime version of
Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru, which is based on the light novel series of the same name, was released.
Crunchyroll made it available for streaming in Japan as it was being broadcasted there, as well as offering an English dub for viewers outside Japan.
In September 2018, Uno released the first volume of the
Reign of the Seven Spellblades series with illustrations by
Ruria Miyuki.
Kadokawa 's Dengeki Bunko imprint released the 15th volume on August 8. Yen Press publishes the light novel series in English. Esuno started a manga adaptation of the novels in
Kadokawa 's Shōnen Ace magazine in May 2019.
