On Sunday, it was revealed on the official website for the anime adaptation of Tatsuya Endo's manga series SPY×FAMILY that SPITZ will be performing the opening theme song "Hi o Mamoru" (Protect the Light) for the upcoming third season. SPITZ made their first song especially for a TV anime directed by Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy, One-Punch Man, Sonny Boy). Japanese streaming platforms will start playing the track on October 6th.

Following this, it will be shown on BS TV Tokyo on October 5th. Crunchyroll has been granted permission to stream the series as it is being broadcasted in Japan, with the exception of Asia.
Wit Studio and CloverWorks are collaborating on the third season of the anime series. The previous two seasons were directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Takahiro Harada. However, for this upcoming season, Yukiko Imai will be taking over as the director. Additionally, Yuki Takeuchi will be in charge of art setting, while Keita Watanabe will be handling CG direction. Lastly, Rina Koguchi will be serving as the editor for this new season.
The new season will also have returning cast and staff.

In April 2022, the initial portion of the first anime season was released. Crunchyroll broadcasted this portion as it became available. Additionally, Crunchyroll provided an English dub for viewers who preferred it. In October 2022, Japan released the second half of the first season. Crunchyroll streamed this portion as it was released. Finally, in October 2023, the second season of the anime was released, consisting of 12 episodes. Once again, Crunchyroll made this series available for streaming as it was broadcasted.
In December 2023, the Japanese box office was dominated by "The SPY×FAMILY" Code: White," which was released at that time. This was an entirely new production with its own unique narrative. In April 2024, Crunchyroll brought the movie to North America. It debuted at #5 on the U.S. box office.
Viz Media has started releasing Tatsuya Endo's manga in English. The narrative follows the plot of the original Japanese version.

Shueisha is currently publishing the manga in English through their MANGA Plus service. Viz Media added this manga to their app as part of their Shonen Jump subscription which started in September 2019. Additionally, Viz Media has also decided to release the manga in print format.
Both the manga and its first stage musical were held in March-May 2023. Another stage musical based on it will take place from September to December this year.
