Atsushi nakajima is near death's door after being expelled from an orphanage. with no food and nowhere to go, all hope appears lost until he saves a man named osamu dazai from drowning. later, dazai offers atsushi a meal and tells him they work for the armed detective agency, which handles criminal cases that are beyond the capabilities of regular law enforcement. the agency's members include individuals with exceptional abilities. dazai and his partner doppo kunikida ask atsushi to help them track down a supernatural tiger causing chaos in the city. reluctantly, atsushi agrees. after they solve the case, dazai offers him a job at the agency. however, their work becomes more dangerous as the port mafia, a local crime syndicate, begins to target them. caught up in a turf war, atsushi must hone his new abilities to protect himself and others while safeguarding the entire city.

Bungou Stray Dogs has been published in English by Yen Press since December 20, 2016, in Polish by Waneko since January 2017 and in Spain by Norma Editorial since May 2017.
