Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru

A former high school elite runner named Kakeru is pursued after being caught stealing food. He is rescued by a Kansei University student, Haiji, who is also an accomplished runner. Haiji convinces Kakeru to reside in the Chikuseisou apartment complex where he intends to form a team with other residents to participate in the Hakone Ekiden Marathon, a prestigious university race in Japan. However, Kakeru discovers that all of the other residents except for Haiji and himself are complete novices.

Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteru was adapted from the novel of the same title.
