This series follows the continuity established by Ken Ishikawa in the Getter manga, occurring chronologically between Getter Robo Go and Getter Āḥ. In this storyline, an older Hayato leads a new team of Getter Pilots along with a new Getter as they work together to protect Earth from giant plant-like creatures.
