The basketball team Strky, made up of familiar players from previous Interhigh tournaments, is set to face off against the Jabberwock, an American street basketball team that has just arrived in Japan. Although they expect a friendly game with a foreign team, their loss turns out to be devastating. Afterwards, Nash Gold Jr., captain of the Jabberwock, insults the Japanese people by saying they are like monkeys and should stop pretending to play basketball. This enrages Kagetora Aida, who proposes a rematch with a different Japanese team. Nash agrees, believing the outcome will be the same. For the revenge match, Kagetora assembles the Vorpal Swords, consisting of the Generation of Miracles, Tetsuya Kuroko, and Taiga Kagami-the only team that can teach the Jabberwock a lesson.
