After a year at Mihama, Yuuji decides to seek promotion within CIRS. In a meeting with JB at corporate HQ, he presents documents related to his own past as part of the promotion process. Meanwhile, back at the dorm, the girls unknowingly track Sachi and Makina's restoration of the shredded rough draft of those same documents. The irony lies in the fact that influential figures from Yuuji's past may still be impacting his present situation.
