In essence, the story follows a young woman named Naomi who travels from the Far East in search of her family. Her journey leads her westward, where she encounters an agitated horse that can only run in that direction. Later, while interrupting a duel between an outlaw and a bounty hunter, Naomi discovers that both men believe she is related to them-the outlaw thinks she's his sister and the bounty hunter believes he's her father.
