"Midnight" is a film that follows the journey of Shinya Mito, a taxi driver whose name translates to "mid" and "night" in Japanese. Throughout the movie, he encounters various passengers who require his assistance in different ways. Despite driving a taxi as a means of earning money for Mari's treatment after an accident that was his fault, Shinya remains committed to helping others. His taxi is equipped with a fifth wheel, making it more versatile and adaptable under any road conditions.
