After losing someone dear, Tooru Kokonoe decides to attend Kouryou Academy in order to obtain his 《Blaze》, which represents the manifestation of his soul. He believed he would receive a weapon as a result. However, instead, he was given a shield. This presents him with a challenge: how can he seek revenge using something that is not even classified as a weapon?
