A terrorist organization is determined to cause conflict between the New Human Empire and the Vatican. Agent Abel Nightroad, a member of Special Ops AX, collaborates with a spirited novice named Esther in an attempt to prevent Gyula, the ruthless Marquis of Hungary, from releasing the Star of Sorrow, a legendary artifact. The story takes place against a neo-gothic backdrop and includes action and suspense as Esther and Abel work together to protect both humans and vampires.

Trinity Blood: Reborn on the Mars was left unfinished due to the death of author Sunao Yoshida. The first three volumes were published in English by Tokyopop from August 14, 2007 to November 3, 2009.
