Kyousuke Kousaka is a seventeen-year-old high school student who has had a strained relationship with his younger sister, Kirino, for many years. Kirino has consistently ignored him and looked at him disdainfully. It seemed like their relationship would remain this way forever. However, one day, Kyousuke discovers a DVD case of the magical girl anime Hoshikuzu Witch Merle in his house's entranceway. Inside the case is an adult video game titled Imouto to Koi shiyo! (Love with Little Sister!). Kyousuke tries to find out who dropped the case by bringing up the topic of magical girl anime at the family dinner table, but he receives a strong negative reaction from his parents, especially his anti-otaku policeman father. That night, Kirino initiates a conversation with Kyousuke and shows him her extensive collection of moe anime and lolicon bishoujo games that she has been collecting in secret.
