Rohan, a young Japanese manga artist, encounters a stunning woman while drawing. She reveals that she knows about an ancient cursed painting made with the darkest ink ever created. This ink was sourced from a 1000-year-old tree cut down without permission by its creator, who paid the ultimate price for his actions. The painting survived due to the efforts of a Louvre curator, and now Rohan seeks it out in Paris. However, he is unprepared for the potency of the curse that has been awakened.
