When two girls meet, magic happens. hazuki kagimura enjoys stories and is an imaginative girl who doesn't get along well with her new family. she finds herself drawn to stories due to her environment. after school one day, she gets lost in a library's bookcases and ends up at a mysterious school where she meets shizuka tsuchimikado. this is a magic school for girls known as "mädchen," who are chosen by magical texts that create the world's stories. hazuki is said to be selected by cinderella's book. to become a true magician, she must form friendships and start her new life at the school with shizuka.

The story of Märchen Mädchen is based on original plans drafted by author Tomohiro Matsu prior to his death in 2016.
