In a society characterized by technological advancements, only females possess the ability to control the most advanced military unit ever created-the Infinite Stratos (IS). As a result of their newfound power, women have taken over all political, social, and economic spheres, leaving men marginalized and subservient. However, when it is discovered that Orimura Ichika is the only male capable of piloting an IS, he is thrust into the limelight and enrolled at a prestigious IS Academy. As he navigates this female-dominated world, Ichika strives to demonstrate that men still have a role to play. Unbeknownst to him, his arrival may be exactly what these women have been searching for.
