Seiichi Osabe is an only child who leads a typical middle school existence with friends, crushes, and caring parents. However, his mother's excessive protectiveness makes others perceive him as a "mama's boy." Although he doesn't view her behavior as unusual, a particular event causes him to recognize the potential danger of her affection. As Seiichi attempts to break free from her control, he realizes that his life is not as ordinary as he once believed.

The series has been licensed for English release under the title A Trail of Blood and will debut in 2020.
