The story takes place during the warring states period when humans used centaurs as livestock and treated them poorly. Matsukaze is a proud and independent centaur who values his freedom above all else, while Kohibari is a tamed centaur who has lost hope of ever escaping human captivity. Despite their differences, if they can put aside their animosity and collaborate, they may be able to regain their liberty as wild centaurs.
