The Mirai Fukuin side story of the Kara no Kyoukai novel series features two psychics, Seo Shizune and Kuramitsu Meruka, who possess the ability to see the future. Despite leading predictable lives, Shizune grew tired of her routine and sought excitement. Meanwhile, Meruka became a professional bomber, taking advantage of his powers for personal gain. However, when Shizune met Mikiya and Meruka encountered Shiki, their predetermined futures began to change.
The Möbius ring connects the two stories, as they both take place ten years after the events of Kara no Kyoukai. In this time, Mana Ryougi, Shikis daughter, spends a day with Kamekura Mitsuru. The series also includes three short manga chapters: 01_feline, where Shiki takes care of a cat for Mikiya; 02_daylight, in which Fujino Asagami helps a friend of one of Kirie Fujous victims overcome her grief; and 03_say grace, where Shiki asks Mikiya out on New Years.
