A young woman with the extraordinary ability to perceive death through her "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception." She had this power before a two-year coma caused by an accident. Before the incident, she possessed two personalities - SHIKI, a male identity, and Shiki, a female one. Members of the Ryougi family typically have two distinct personalities; their male persona is referred to as "yang," while the female is called "yin." It's easy to differentiate between them because they speak in unique ways, with the female using "watashi" and the male referring to himself as "ore." After waking from her coma, Shiki realizes she can no longer sense SHIKIs presence and assumes he has passed away due to the accident. She also feels disconnected from memories prior to the incident but identifies as Shiki. To cope with this new reality, she adopts a cold demeanor resembling the female Shikis persona. Touko recognizes the detachment Shiki experiences and considers her a third personality.
