In 1992, Yoshihisa Hirano pursued his studies in composition at Juilliard School. Later on, he continued his education at Eastman School of Music. During his high school years, Hirano received the first prize in the Axia Tape Competition held in Japan. Additionally, he was awarded New York's New Music for Young Ensembles. Throughout his career, Hirano has composed music for various mediums such as concerts, dance performances, films, and radio broadcasts. His compositions range from classical to pop and contemporary styles. Recently, Hirano has been commissioned to create anime soundtracks. Furthermore, he collaborated with pianist Masako Hosoda to form the group Bleu, which released two albums together. Additionally, Hirano's work includes orchestration and arrangement for several Ali Projects albums.
