Kurimoto Kaoru was a well-known author who gained fame for her extensive science fiction and fantasy series, including Guin Saga. This work was translated into numerous languages and achieved global success with over 28 million copies sold worldwide. In addition to literature, she also pursued other creative interests such as music composition under the name Nakajima Azusa. She played piano and even contributed to musicals.
