In Kumamoto, Japan, there was a person named Toi8 who became an illustrator for magazines and light novels after graduating from Senmon Gakkou for Anime. He then joined Studio 4°C where he continues to work as an artist. His penname is derived from the Japanese word "tenth," which corresponds to his birthday, October eighth (the eighth month). Toi8 is married to Ozaki Tomomi, another illustrator and designer who collaborated with him on the anime TV series Le Chevalier DEon.
