Her role as Haruka Suzumiya in the anime series Kimi ga Nozomu Eien has garnered her significant attention. The single "Precious Memories," which she performed and wrote as the opening theme song for the animated version of the show, was a success, reaching a peak ranking of 17th on the Oricon charts and charting for 13 weeks. Since then, Kuribayashi has sung songs for other games and anime series such as Muv-Luv, Chrono Crusade, My-HiME, My-Otome, and School Days. She is also a member of the group Wild 3nin Musume with Joy Max (a.k.a. Joy Max Maximum) and Kisho Taniyama (a.k.a. Jackie Yang). Between January 22, 2016 to August 2, 2019, she changed her name from Minami Kuribayashi to Minami, but then reverted back to Minami Kuribayashi on August 3, 2019.
