Kentaro Yabuki is a renowned Japanese manga artist who was mentored by Takeshi Obata, the creator of Death Note and Hikaru no Go. His most notable work is Black Cat, which ran from 2000 to 2004 in Weekly Shounen Jump and later became an anime series. After its conclusion, Yabuki expressed interest in creating a sequel or incorporating the characters into another project.
