Sailor Moon Eternal is the fourth movie in Toei Animations' reinterpretation of Naoko Takeuchi's manga series. It was revealed in January 2017 as part of the franchise's 25th anniversary and later confirmed to be a two-part anime film that will cover the Dream arc.
Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Eternal Movie 1 was announced on January 25, 2017 on the Sailor Moon 25th Anniversary website. The film was originally slated to be released in theaters on September 11, 2020, but was pushed back to January 8, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It later premiered on Netflix on June 3, 2021. The film was also released on Blu-ray and DVD on June 30, 2021 in Japan.
