Atsuko "Akko-chan" Kagami, who goes by different names in Western adaptations such as "Stilly," "Caroline," or "Julie," is a lively elementary school student with an affinity for mirrors. When her cherished mirror, given to her by her mother (or father, depending on the version), gets broken, Akko-chan decides to bury it in her yard instead of throwing it away.
