In Earlshide's kingdom, Merlin Walford was once revered as a national hero due to his immense power and accomplishments. Despite this recognition, Merlin opted for solitude in seclusion deep within rural woods, where he devoted himself to raising an orphan named Shin, whom he had rescued. This orphan, Shin, is a modern-day salaryman from Japan who was reincarnated into Merlin's world while retaining his past memories. Over time, Shin demonstrated exceptional talent in both magic casting and martial arts, astonishing Merlin consistently. On Shin's 15th birthday, it became clear that he had developed only combat skills, leaving him with social awkwardness, a lack of common sense, and a mediocre sense of responsibility. To improve his abilities and mature alongside other teenagers, Shin enrolled in the kingdom's Magic Academy. However, living an ordinary life proved impossible as soon as he arrived, establishing himself as a local celebrity.
