In Hinomoto, people were freed from the rule of samurais 150 years ago. They now live peacefully and revere their liberators - demons whose true forms are elusive - as gods. Musashi knows that humanity is enslaved by these otherworldly beings and that the samurai are the last hope for freedom. Despite keeping his true opinions hidden from his peers, Musashi struggles with angst until graduation day. When he arrives at the mine, he sees inhumane treatment of miners and the eerie appearance of their overseers. However, Kojirou helps him endure it. The demon leader attacks the quarry, putting Musashi's life at risk once again. He is saved by Takeda samurai clan. Feeling humiliated but yearning for adventure, Musashi decides to become a samurai and form his own clan!

Orient was released on Blu-ray in Japan in three volumes from March 25, 2022 to May 27, 2022.
